David Steele Smith was born on February 18, 1952 in Albany, Georgia and passed away on August 1, 2020 in Columbus, Georgia and is under the care of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary.

He was preceded in death by his father, Linder Hays Smith, and his mother, Thera Steele Smith.

He is survived by his companion of 40 years, Sheila Stokes; daughters, Kimberly Ann Weaver, Misty Cook, and Laura Kratina; sister, Carol S. Talbot (Danny); and his brothers, James M. Smith (Chris) and Thomas W. Smith. Mr. Smith also has eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren to cherish his memory.
