Dennie Ray Wadkins

.Dennie Ray Wadkins, 45, of Columbus, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Midtown Medical Center. Funeral Services are scheduled on Saturday, October 1, 2016 in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Road Columbus, at 2:00pm. Interment will follow the service at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby Friday evening, September 30, 2016 from 5:00-7:00pm.

Son of the late Jerry Cooper Wadkins and Glenda Ann Denney Wadkins, Dennie was born November 5, 1970 in Columbus, Georgia. He was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan. Dennie was outgoing and full of life, he never met a stranger and was always the life of the party. He loved to grill, BBQ, be by the water, but mostly he loved his family. Dennie was devoted to his family; a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and will be missed by many.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Dewayne Ronquist. Dennie is survived by his wife, Jennifer Prestley Wadkins; daughter, Kayla Prestley; grandson, Haydan Green; sister, Teresa Adams and her husband Randy; nephew, Cody Adams; niece, Taylor Adams; and great niece, Mckenna Adams.
