Dennis Wilfred Hand, Sr., age 92, passed away on April 8, 2011. Graveside services will be held at Parkhill Cemetery on Monday, April 11, 2011 at 3:00 PM, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd., Columbus.
Mr. Hand was born on April 1, 1919 in Marion County, GA to the late Charles E. and Lorena Hand. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Helen Barentine Hand.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis W. Hand, Jr. (Barbara Shellnutt) of Bowman, GA and Robert E. Hand (Esther Lewis) of Orlando, FL; six grandchildren, Dennis W. Hand, III of Woodstock, GA, Helen Hand Adcock of Adairsville, GA, Robert E. Hand, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, Teresa Mann of Hendersonville, TN, Lori Lotz of Orlando, FL and Steven Lewis of Orlando, FL as well as three great-grandchildren.
