Diana was born Pike County, Kentucky, April 11, 1952 to Tucker and Ruth Maynor Mullins.
She grew up as a coal miner’s daughter in Elkhorn City, Kentucky. She attended Elkhorn City High School. She married at a young age and had a son, Burt. She and her new family moved to Georgia, because her husband was in the military. After they divorced, Diana had to raise her son alone. She and Burt decided to stay in Georgia, which was Hard, because she was without her immediate family. She then meet Richard Mann and they soon were married. They had many long years of trial, with three step-children between the two of them.
After the kids went out on their own, Diana decided to go back to school. She went to Columbus State University and majored in Criminal Justice. After graduating, she took a job as a development administrator at the River Center of the Performing Arts.
Diana and Richard were married for seventeen years. When he suddenly passed away. Diana was heartbroken and never actually got over losing the love of her life. She loved animals so much that if there were ever a stray dog would show up, it would forever have a home and be spoiled. At one point she had three dogs, four cats and a gold fish.
Diana loved to dance and spending time with her friends. She was a good friend to so many that knew her. She was the type of a friend that you could depend on. She was a very kind, thoughtful and giving person she had a huge heart. Diana was always fashionable and a sharp dresser.
Diana had a stroke, which left her paralyzed on the right side and it also affected her speech. She came to Elkhorn City two years ago. Her brother Tommy and his wife took care of her. Her brother was holding her hand and telling her that he loved her, when Jesus called her home.
Diana was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Mann; her father and mother, Tucker and Ruth Mullins; and one sister Pamela Ratliff.
She is survived by her son, Burt Mullins; two brothers, Claude Willis Doughten of Taylor, MI and Tommy Mullins of Elkhorn City; one sister, Tammy Fultz of Ewing VA; one stepdaughter, Susan Wilson of Georgia; one step son, Mickey Mawn; one granddaughter, Ruby Wilson; one grandson, Blue Wilson; and three nephews and one niece. Diana is going to be greatly missed by her family and a host of relatives and friends.
If Diana could, I believe this is what she would say
“No Time to cry
Don’t shed a tear
I’m with god in spirit I am here
Kept the faith
My Spirit is light
I am at peace now
I fought the good Fight”

God saw you getting tired, when a cure was not to be. He wrapped his arms around you, and whispered “Come to me” you didn’t deserve what you went though so He gave you needed rest,
God’s garden must be beautiful he only takes the best.
