Dianne Yolanda Henderson, 60, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on June 21, 2021, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Her loving and devoted husband, Ron Henderson, was by her side as she breathed her last breath.
Dianne was born on April 9, 1961, in Wurzburg, Germany to Billy Gene and Madge Williams. She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Madge Evelyn Jackson. She is survived by the love of her life, Ron, and their son, Jacob Henderson (Kaylee) and their daughter Ellie Rae. Dianne leaves behind three sisters, Debbie Chapman (Derrick), Donna Ward (Russell) and Dina Miller (Mark), and many beloved extended family members.
A service in celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, June 24, at 1:00 p.m. EST at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, with Pastor Bud Rupel officiating. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, June 23, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Striffler-Hamby.
Dianne had a special relationship with the Lord and wanted everyone she knew to experience the same. She was a constant inspiration to everyone around her as she took every opportunity to tell others about Jesus and the love He has for them. She was known to witness to complete strangers in various places as she shared her faith, often leading them to Christ. This was truly a source of fulfillment.
She was most joyful when surrounded by family and friends, especially little children. Her greatest delight during family holidays was watching all the children enjoy the special gifts she had carefully chosen just for them. She was very generous in her outpouring of love and affection for each and every child.
Dianne’s zest for life was infectious, and in her presence, there was no shortage of laughter. She had a way of making others feel that same joy by not taking things too seriously, especially herself. She made life fun. She maintained an innocence and a childlike view of the world around her. She almost never allowed the difficult life challenges to steal her inner peace and happiness. She will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Columbus Hospice on Moon Road
