Donald Edward “Eddie” Lewis went to his eternal home on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, surrounded by his family. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Evangel Church, 5350 Veterans Parkway, Columbus, Georgia 31904. A visitation will be held one hour prior.
Eddie was born on February 14, 1967, in Columbus, Georgia to Beverly and Alvie Lewis Jr. and would countdown until his next birthday party. Eddie never met a stranger. He loved everyone and everyone loved him and enjoyed praising the Lord at Evangel Church. He always had to have his Reese Cups, Sprite and brownies and anyone that knew him knew that he loved anything to do with the police, Harley Davidson, red barns and pigs. He enjoyed watching the Andy Griffith Show and would refer to himself as Barnie Fife. To know him was to love him and Eddie will be greatly missed by many.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvie Bernard Lewis Jr. and Beverly Sue Lewis and his older brother, James Alvie “Al” Lewis.
