Dorothy Sterne Horton, 89, died Sunday, July 8, 2012, in Savannah, GA. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, July 13th, at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary’s Columbus, GA Chapel with burial to follow in Parkhill Cemetery. Dr. James C. Elder, Jr. will officiate. The family will have visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
A Columbus, GA resident since 1950, Mrs. Horton was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Thomas Manning Horton. Mrs. Horton is survived by her son, Thomas Manning Horton, Jr. of Thomaston, a daughter, Amanda Horton Dorman of Savannah, six grandchildren and one great grandson.
