Dorothy T. Jones

Graveside services are scheduled on Saturday, October 15, 2011, 11 a.m. with Dr. Buddy Cooper officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 14, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mrs. Jones, daughter of the late Charles Lowe Thompson and Ruby Reavis Thompson, was born in Mocksville, NC. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and member of the Miller-Wilson Sunday School Class. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Benson Monroe Jones.

She is survived by one daughter, Donna J. Craig and her husband Buck of Columbus; three sons, David M. Jones of Columbus, Michael B. Jones and his wife Louly of Phenix City, AL, and Russell D. Jones of Columbus; four grandchildren, Angela Arnold, Ben Arnold and his wife Christy, Jennifer Nuessner and her husband Scot, and Ashley Bloodworth and her husband Jim; six great-grandchildren, Madison Nuessner, Lauren Nuessner, Grayson Bloodworth, Autumn Ransom, Amber Arnold, and Cade Bloodworth; one great great granddaughter, Lanie Ransom; other relatives and friends.
