Dorothy “Dot” was born July 30, 1919 in Holmes County, Florida. She moved to Columbus at 19 years of age, where she met and married the late Louis Charles Kunze. They had four children: Rita Kunze (deceased), Charles (Susan) Kunze of Sandersville,Georgia, Mark (Natalia) Kunze of Richmond, Virginia, and Laura Kunze of Columbus, Georgia, 3 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Kunze spent the majority of her life as a devoted and loving mother to all her children. She was an excellent cook and spent much of her time cooking meals for The Loving Comforters which was a ministry that provided meals and comfort for the bereaved. She was a spiritual and loving catholic who took joy in doing for others. Mrs. Kunze was as beautiful on the outside as well as on the inside having won the title of First Runner-up in the 1958 Mrs. Georgia contest. She was loved deeply by her family and friends and will be sorely missed.
