Mrs. Mulgrew was born in Phenix City, AL, on July 4, 1936.
She was a woman of uncompromising faith and love of others. She loved her family, friends, neighbors, church, community and country dearly, praying for all on daily basis. She was a member of Wynnbrook Baptist Church and the Mixed Nuts Sunday School Class that she thoroughly enjoyed.
She was a staple at the Macon Road Kmart Service Desk for 29 years. Upon her retirement, she volunteered in the community at local hospitals, food banks, and St. Jude events.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil Ethridge and Luvernia Ethridge; her son, Thomas E. Mulgrew, Jr., and her sisters Barbara Haralson and Sue White. She is survived by a brother, Steve Ethridge (Blythe); two children, Sandra Bondarenko (Andre) and Michael Mulgrew; five grandchildren, Stephanie Russell (Clayton), Christina Harsh (Andy), Ryan Beardsley (Jessica), Thomas Mulgrew and Cali Mulgrew; five great-grandchildren, Brock and Dylan Harsh, Kiana and Lila Russell, and Charlotte Beardsley. She is also survived by her precious friend and caregiver of 5 years, Lisa Hartley.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 on Tuesday, January 11, at Striffler Hamby Funeral Home. Dr. Kevin Calhoun will officiate. Internment will immediately follow at Ft. Benning cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately prior to the service at 10:00.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to Mrs. Mulgrew's favorite charities - St. Jude and Wounded Warrior.
