Dorothy "Dot" Worthy Norton

Columbus, Georgia- Dorothy "Dot" Worthy Norton, age 68, resident of Columbus, died on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Vista Care Hospice, Columbus. Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus on Saturday, February 23, 2013, 3 p.m. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 22, 2013 from 5-7 p.m.

Mrs. Norton, daughter of the late Rudolph Worthy and Frances Elizabeth Nix Worthy, was born October 23, 1944 in Atlanta, Georgia. She was Baptist by faith and retired from Industrial Bearings and Transmission where she faithfully served for over 24 years.

Mrs. Norton was preceded in death by her husband, James Norton; a brother, Charles Hardy II; aunts, Louise Epley and Lucille LaChance. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Howard and her husband Jonathan of Smiths Station, Alabama; one granddaughter, Ashley Boutwell and her fiance' Howard Terry of Marietta, Georgia; one great-grandson, Hunter Boutwell; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
