A Chapel service will be held 3:00 PM Friday, June 7, 2013 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, 31907. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wilson was born November 20, 1924 in Fruithurst, AL daughter of the late Newton G. and Sarah Willingham Ray. She retired from Civil Service at Ft. Benning, GA after many years of service in the finance department and then dedicated herself as a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by one brother, and 2 sisters.
Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, Brady Wilson of Columbus, GA; her son, Gregory A. Wilson of Columbus; one brother, Jimmie Ray of Alabaster, AL; two sisters, Ellen R. Bailey of Dallas, GA and Helen Davis of Carrolton, GA; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
