Douglas Alan Dayton

Douglas Alan Dayton, 36, of Columbus, GA, passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital. Doug was born January 20, 1979 in Oklahoma City, OK to Don and Ruth Dayton. He was a graduate of Bay High School in Panama, City, FL, and was Floor Manager for Carrabbas Italian Grill in Columbus. Doug had a passion for his family, loved to work, cook, and enjoy being out in the country.

The family will receive guests Wednesday, January 28, 2015 12:00-1:00 PM one hour prior to the Celebration of Doug’s Life beginning at 1:00 PM in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA, followed by interment at Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Hank Reeves officiating.

Douglas Alan Dayton is survived by his loving wife Shannon Dayton; his maternal grandmother Jane Rice of Columbus, GA; his mother Ruth Dayton of Columbus, GA; his in-laws Wayne (Diane) Thacker of Columbus, GA; three sons, Christopher (Sharon) Thacker of Alabaster, AL, Charles (Morgan Barnhill) Hardin of Columbus, GA, and Cameron Dayton of Columbus, GA; three grandchildren, Jacob Greer, Alayna Thacker, and Zain Hardin; his Carrabbas family, and many friends.
