Duwayne Kevin Sears

Memorial Services will be held at Striffler Hamby Chapel 4071 Macon Rd Columbus at 11:00 am on Tuesday May 1, 2012.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, April 30. 2012 between the hours of 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm at Striffler Hamby Mortuary.

Mr. Sears was born on January 14, 1964 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Gloria Sears of Columbus, Ga and Earnest Sears (deceased)

DuWayne is proceeded in death by his sister Doreen Sears, father Earnest Sears, two maternal aunts, Elaine DeFord and Noreen Formella and both maternal and paternal grandparents.

DuWayne worked for many years in housing maintenance at Ft Benning, Ga.

DuWayne is survived by his wife, Yolande Beth Sears, and stepson Ryan Denson of Foley, Al. and Rodney (Brandy) Denson and grandson, Levi and one unborn grandson child of Phenix City, Al. Also leaving to cherish his memory are his mother, Gloria Sears, his sister Debra (Sears) Rocha and her husband Frank of Columbus, Ga. and a brother, Darby Sears of Box Springs, Ga. He has two nephews, Shawn Sellers (Brandy) and Curtis Sears of Columbus, Ga. and a host of cousins, an aunt and two uncles, great nieces and a great nephew and many friends who will greatly miss him.

DuWayne will always be remembered for his love of flea markets, riding his motorcycle and his affection for his precious little Boston terrier, Bailey.
