Eddie Starling

Eddie Craig Starling, 67, of Columbus, Georgia, passed away on April 1, 2026, after battling colon cancer. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907.

Eddie was born on March 12, 1959, to Viola and Thomas Starling in Columbus, Georgia. Most of his working life was in the barbeque field, mainly as Co-Manager of his brother’s restaurant, Macon Road Barbeque. Some of his favorite activities in life were fishing and a good game of golf. As a Christian, he was saved and prepared to leave this world and go to the world to be with his family members who have already passed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Jefferson Starling and Viola Grimsley Starling and his two sisters, Betty Jean Jones and Dixie Ann Wuenschel. He is survived by his five brothers, Tommy Starling, Donnie Starling, Richard Starling, and Charles Starling all from Columbus, Georgia and Bill H. Reedy of San Diego, California; a multitude of nieces and nephews; one sister in law, Theresa Starling; and a special lady, Fay Anderson Smith, who stood by his side until he left the Earth.
