

1st Sgt U.S. Army (Ret.) Edward Joseph Bulat, 72, of Fortson, Georgia passed away on Friday, August 19, 2011 at his home, he was born April 28, 1939 in Utica, New York to the late Walter and Helen Bulat.
Memorial services will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 24, 2011 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary 4071 Macon Road Columbus. Interment will follow at Main Post Cemetery, Ft. Benning, Georgia with full military honors.
Mr. Bulat served his Country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was the recipient of 3 Bronze Stars,2 Purple Hearts, and many other prestigious medals.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Annette Bulat; a son, Joseph Walter Bulat and his wife, Becky of Atlanta, GA; a daughter, Melisa Cullefer and her husband, James of Cataula, GA; three grandchildren, Amanda Bulat of Atlanta, GA, Kourtney Brooke and Hunter James Cullefer of Cataula, GA; three sisters, Patricia Rabideau of Utica, NY, Carol English and her husband, Jim of Whitesboro NY, and Celia Cabo and her husband, Leo of Yorkville, NY.
