Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Friday, November 6, 2015 at Edgewood Hall of Striffler – Hamby, 4071 Macon Road with interment to follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Johnson was born July 1, 1927 in Box Springs, Ga the daughter of the late Stephen David Sizemore and the late Vera Mae Rogers Sizemore. She was a lifelong resident of Box Springs and a member of The River of Columbus Church.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years , William M. Johnson, Sr., a daughter, Melissa Johnson Wilkey, and a grandson, William Brooks Wilkey.
Survivors include her children, Melanie Johnson Rutland and her husband, James, William M. Johnson, Jr. and wife, Lisa, Melinda Johnson, and Madelyn Johnson Armstrong and husband, Doug; sixteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, two sisters, Margie Jasper and Myrtle Aderhold.
