
Ethel B. Moore, 69, of 4335 Braddock Dr., Columbus, GA, expired on Monday, September 4, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus. Graveside services will be held on Ft. Benning on September 11, 2017, at 1:00PM. The family will receive friends on September 10, from 3:00PM until 5:00PM at Striffler Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road, Columbus, GA.
Mrs. Moore was born May 31, 1948 in Columbus, GA to the late Alex Alexander and Lula Mae Cobb Bass. Mrs. Moore was a minister and LPN nurse in the Columbus and Ft. Benning area.
Mrs. Moore graduated from Spencer High School, in the Class of 1966, and received her LPN Licensure in 1968. She continued her studies in 2009, earning a Bachelor of Science in Theology.
Mrs. Moore served in the medical field at The Columbus Medical Center, Muscogee County Jail, Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Covenant Woods, Dr. M.G. Rucker Medical Office, and Martin Army Community Hospital. She also served as an Instructor of Nursing for Americo Nursing Institution.
Mrs. Moore was a member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church and also served as a minister under the leadership of Dr. Ralph Huling.
She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Michael L Cobb of Columbus; three brothers, Robert (Jean) Bass, Jessie Bass and Earnest Alexander, all of Columbus; one grandson, Michael L. Cobb, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; two granddaughters, Emma Long of Phenix City, AL, and Chelsea Cobb of Tennessee; devoted nieces, Rhonda Williamson, Jacqueline Harris, Wendy Gail Campbell, Marilyn Lawrence, Nicole Bass and LaQuita Hall; nephews Roderick Mitchell, Marcus Mitchell, Arthur Bass, Robert Bass, Jr., Roland Bass, and Eric Stanley; & three devoted friends, Susie Truitt, Arthur Truitt, and Gwendolyn Bryantt.
