

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 11:00 am in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, Columbus. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of the service. Burial will follow in Parkhill Cemetery.
Evelyn Phillips Milner was born on December 23, 1920 in Sale City, Georgia to the late Willie Jane and Johnnie B. Phillips. She lived in Florida most of her life and retired from the Department of Revenue with the state of Florida. Evelyn moved to Columbus to be close to her family due to her health. She enjoyed fishing with her late husband Curtis Milner, gardening, sewing quilts and crocheting. Evelyn was a kind and generous person, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is also preceded in death by her sisters, Janie LaVerne Phillips and Helen Williamson.
Survivors are her sister, Edna DuBois of Columbus; brother, Lamar (Martha) Phillips of Decatur, GA; six nieces: Jacquelyn (Bob) Murray, Brenda (Steve) Simonton, Judith (Tom) Woodhams, Lindy(Burt) Kelling, Suzanne Sanchez, and Cynthia (Chad Boles) Taber; several great-nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Evelyn’s family would like to send a very special thank you to Brookside Glenn, Linda Baldwin, and Murl Smith for the kindness and care given to Evelyn.
