Everett William Acree, age 66, of Cataula, GA, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017. A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at Striffler – Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA. The family will have a private funeral service at a later time.
Everett was born in Atlanta, Ga on September 28, 1951, the son of Roy Acree Sr. and Willie Mae English Acree. Everett graduated from Harris County High School, the class of 1969. He married Judy Smith Acree on July 15, 1973 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Cataula, Ga, where they have been members for over 40 years. He was employed at Vulcan Materials as an equipment operator; he retired a few years ago.
He is preceded in death by; his parents; a sister Andrea Humphries; and a brother Roy Acree Jr. Survivors include; his wife, Judy Acree; his three sons, Chad (Andrea Saxon) Acree, Scott (Tonya) Acree, Michael (Megan) Acree; 10 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
