Fay Pearson Allen, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on August 6, 2025, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina at the age of 82. She was born on October 19, 1942, in Hartford, Alabama to the late Vetra and Woodrow Pearson. Fay was Christian by faith and lived her life full of joy and sharing the Gospel with others. Fay was married to the late Robert Allen in 2002 together she and Robert enjoyed serving her community through the Outreach Program at her church.
She worked for many years in the propane gas business. Fay worked her way up to management in the 1970’s. She helped pave the way for women in management in this business. Fay loved God, her family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vetra and Woodrow Pearson and her husband, Robert Allen.
Fay leaves her loving memory to be cherished by her: son, Wayne Lowery (Jennifer); her daughter, Delia Lowery Lemons (Jimmy); her brother, Larry Pearson (Sharon); her sisters, Yulane Wilson and Gayle Zylstra; four grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate the life of Fay Pearson Allen will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM in Fisher Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907. She will be laid to rest in Parkhill Cemetery following the service.
