Graveside services are scheduled at Parkhill Cemetery, on Saturday, April 23, 2011, 11 a.m., according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Saturday, April 23, 2011 from 9:00 am till 10:00 am.
Mr. Morris, son of the late George Milton Morris and Mattie McGilvary Morris, was born September 14, 1928 in Columbus, GA. He was retired from the Columbus Fire Department . Mr. Morris was a member of Porter Memorial Baptist Church. Mr. Morris is survived by his wife of twenty seven years, Suellen P. Morris; one son, Fred M. Morris, Jr. of Opelika, AL, and one daughter, Melinda K. Harvey of Columbus; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
