COLUMBUS, GEORGIA- Gearldean Nichols Crain, 85, passed away on June 25, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 28, 2013 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd., Columbus. Burial will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
Mrs. Crain was born June 21, 1928 to the late Benjamin Vickers and Lura Hughey Vickers in Anniston, AL. She was preceded in death by a son, George Nichols.
Survivors include her six children, Ricky Nichols and his wife Shelby of Columbus, GA, Steve Nichols and his wife Michelle of Talbotton, GA, Jerry Nichols and his wife, Sharon of Temple, GA, Bobby Nichols of Atlanta, GA, Eunice Hall and her husband, Steve of Talbotton, GA and Bruce Crain of Columbus, GA; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
