

Gene “Beaner” Westbrook, age 69, resident of Warm Springs, GA., went home on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at his residence. Memorial services are scheduled at Kings Pasture Community Church, Hamilton, GA on Friday, May 20, 2011, 11 a.m., with Pastor Gino Zalunardo officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus. Mr. Westbrook, son of the late Edward Louie Westbrook, Sr. and Avis Ruth Cobb Westbrook, was born August 28, 1941 in Gainesville, GA. He and his family owned and operated Westbrook Motors in Hialeah, FL for 60 years. Mr. Westbrook was a member of Kings Pasture Community Church of Hamilton, GA. He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Westbrook. Mr. Westbrook is survived by his wife, Dee Westbrook of Warm Springs, GA; one son, Paul Westbrook and his wife Dani of Fortson, GA; three daughters, Theresa Driver of Warm Springs, GA, Heather Morataya of Columbus, and Nadine Parks of Jacksonville, FL; one brother, Ed Westbrook, Jr. and his wife Sue of Covington, GA; two sisters, Betty Ewing and her husband Joe of Hialeah, FL. and Diane Westbrook of Covington, GA; eight grandchildren, CJ, Lerin, Ashley, Katie, Kaitlyn, Kyle, Brook, and Zoey; many other relatives and friends.
