George was a great father, a wonderful husband, a dear father-in-law, a great brother, a true friend to many, a dedicated Sailor to his country, but most of all , he loved Jesus, his Savior and is with him right now. No more pain for George Shiver.  Never forgotten. We live and miss you Dad.  Joan,we pray you find peace and comfort. Always know we love you, Joan.

We have been blessed to have shared these past years here at Pinehurst Baptist Church with Mr. Shiver. He is one of the finest men we know. Our hearts go out to Joan and the family. We are praying for His peace to comfort you all.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you today.

Mr. Shiver has been a dear neighbor since we first moved here 16 years ago. Stephanie and I are so thankful for him and Mrs. Shiver. May God bless and comfort Mrs. Shiver and the rest of the family
