George "Joey" Milton Staley III

George "Joey" Milton Staley III, aged 75, passed away on January 9, 2026. He was born on November 3, 1950, in Columbus, Georgia. Joey was a resident of Nashville, Tennessee. Joey worked alongside his family in the family business at Staley Seafood and Fish Market. He was married to the late Beth Moore Staley. Joey enjoyed fishing and hunting in his youth.

He was predeceased by his mother, Jean Godfrey Staley; his father, George Milton Staley, Jr.; his infant brother, David Staley; his beloved brother, Jeffrey Staley; and his wife, Elizabeth Carolyn Moore Staley. He is survived by his stepmom, Gail Staley, and his friend, Sam Davidson. Joey also leaves his memory to be cherished by other family and friends.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, located at 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, on January 14, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm in the St Elmo Room. Family and friends will go in procession into Parkhill Cemetery for a graveside funeral service at 2:00 pm.
