

The visitation for Gladys Fulford will be Sunday, September 13th from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm in the Wynnton room at Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 11:00 am in Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Billy Duncan officiating.
Gladys Fulford was born April 1, 1919 in Buena Vista, Georgia, the daughter of the late Essie Walker Carden and Herbert Carden. She moved to Columbus when she was only five years old and was educated in the Muscogee County School system, graduating from Industrial High School in 1936. She accepted the Lord as her savior at an early age and was active throughout her life at Beallwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Burnest Fulford, and her sisters, Thelma Louise Cotton and Evelyn Doris Pruett.
Survivors include two children, Lynn Allen and her husband, David of Lake Wylie, South Carolina and William Kim Fulford and his wife, Theresa of Columbus; grandchildren, William Bradford Allen and his wife, Jody of Chesapeake, Virginia, and Brian David Allen and his wife, Jennifer of Raleigh, North Carolina; and five great-grandchildren.
