Columbus, GA- Gladys Jernigan Meyer, 93 of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Monday, December 01, 2014.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Pines Mausoleum in Parkhill Cemetery with Dr. Frank Parr officiating. Family will receive friends at the conclusion of the service in the Chapel of the Pines Mausoleum.

Mrs. Gladys Jernigan Meyer was born March 23, 1921 in Orangeburg, South Carolina the daughter of the late Edgar and Bertha Ann Kittrell Jernigan. She was a member of Wynnton United Methodist Church, retired from Western Union after 50 years of service and was the widow of Wayne Leroy Meyer, Sr. Mrs. Gladys Meyer was also preceded in death by her daughter Carla Sue Meyer, two sisters and a brother.

Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Buck and her fiancé Russell Gray of Columbus, Georgia; son Wayne L. Meyer, Jr. and his wife Laura W. of Columbus, Georgia; sister, Betty Breck of Bonifay, Florida; grandchildren, Alyssa Berard (Todd), Mindy Haralson, Cannon Meyer (Marc), Tripp Meyer, Stacie Berard (Leo), Trey Spence (Ashley), and Jenna Buck Gross (Caleb); sixteen great-grandchildren.
