Rev. Gordon Ingram Pittman

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2014 in the Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA. with Dr. James C. Elder officiating. A private burial will be held at the New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Marianna, FL.

Reverend Pittman was born in DeFuniak Springs, FL. on September 20, 1929 to the late Joseph Edward Pittman and Ethel Ingram Pittman. He served as a Missionary with the Southern Baptist Convention for many years. And was the former Pastor of Friendship Baptist Church in Barney, GA.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Betty Jane O’Connor Pittman.

Survivors include his children, John Edward Pittman and wife Donna of Rock Hill, SC, and Stephanie Cullison and husband Daniel of Ellerslie, GA, two grandchildren, Jason Edward Pittman and wife Lori, Stephen John Pittman and wife Amy, and seven great grandchildren, Rebekah Pittman, Jep Pittman, Thaddeus Pittman, John Carter Pittman, Caileigh Pittman, Emma Pittman and Connor Luke Pittman
