A funeral service to celebrate the life of Grace will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, September 8, 2025, at Striffler Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907 with a visitation one hour prior at 10:00AM. The burial will take place following the service at Riverdale Cemetery.
Grace was born on March 28, 1933, to Ethel and John Martin in Lee County, Alabama. She attended and graduated from Central High School in Phenix City, Alabama. She met her first husband, Bob Money, and got married when she was 19 years old. She spent her time with him as he was stationed in the Army during the Korean War. After his passing, she made it a priority to find a father for her 2 young children. She met and married Cyril A. Justice, who she had been married to for 51 years. She spent 13 years working as a Manager of Medical Records at Martin Army Hospital and 27 years in Housekeeping at St. Francis Hospital.
She was a loyal, hardworking, faithful and strong-willed woman who was unapologetic about who she was. She was industrious and sometimes worked 3 jobs in order to support her family, even door to door sales. Ethel was very creative and enjoyed doing lots of arts and crafts including making jewelry and spent weekends at arts and crafts festivals selling her goods. She was known as the neighborhood Cat Lady as she fed Ferrell cats for years until her daughter brought her to live with her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cyril Justice; her son, Calvin Michael Money; her sister, Betty Young; and her brothers, Thomas, Delmar and Johnny Martin. Survivors include her daughter, Patsy Walczak; her granddaughter, Madeline Petrone; her grandson, Michael Money as well as her nieces and nephews.
