Mrs. Watson was born in Troy, Alabama to the late Birdie Mae Pritchett and Ewell C. Pritchett. She was married to Gene Watson and together she and Gene made Columbus, Georgia home. Mrs. Watson worked for many years in Civilian Personnel at Ft. Benning, Georgia. She retired from Civil Service in the early 90’s to be with family and to help with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Watson was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a Christian and a longtime member of the Torch Hill Church of Christ. She loved family events, going to lunch with friends, playing games both in person and on her iPad / phone, going to the beach, watching her soap operas and game shows, and getting her hair and nails done.
She is survived by her son, Bobby Gene Watson (Kim), her grandchildren Michael Shane Watson and Amberly Ann Bryan (Rickey), and her great grandchild Avery Grace Bullock, as well as her brothers Ewell Davis Pritchett (Donna) and Doug Pritchett (Ginny). Mrs. Watson had a very special bond with her Great-Grand Daughter Avery Bullock.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Watson, as well as her biological mother, Birdie Mae Pritchett, her mother Evelyn Davis Pritchett, and her father Ewell C. Pritchett, as well her brother Raymond Pritchett, and sisters Louise Strickland and Lucile Erickson.
