Harold James Cripe

August 8, 1946 – June 18, 2014

Columbus, GA – Harold James “Jamie” Cripe, 67, passed away on June 18, 2014. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, June 21st at 4:00pm in Edgewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby, Macon Road, with visitation immediately following.

Jamie Cripe grew up in Americus, GA and was a long-time resident of Ocala, FL before moving back to Columbus last year. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carol Ann (Gross) Cripe; and his parents, Harold C. Cripe and Pauline Saunders Cripe. He is survived by his son, Christopher Todd Cripe of Columbus; daughter, Emily Cripe Sutherland (Edmund) of Columbus; son, David Eastabrooks (Angela) of Madison, FL; sister, Dianne Smith (Butch) of Columbus; brother, Jody Cripe (Jaye) of Americus; grandchildren, Avery and Addison Sutherland, and Michael and Jacob Eastabrooks, all of Columbus; and numerous extended family members and loving friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Columbus Hospice, 7020 Moon Road, Columbus, GA 31909.
