Harry Earl Galloway, 93, of Columbus in the presence of loving family and friends passed away peacefully on March 1, 2013 at the Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services for Mr. Galloway will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 5, 2013 in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary 4071 Macon Road Columbus, with Reverend Larry Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Riverdale Cemetery.
Visitation for Mr. Galloway will be from 5-7 pm, on Monday, March 4, 2013 at the funeral home.
Harry Earl Galloway was born May 16, 1919 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Shelby and Lucile Galloway. In addition to his parents Mr. Galloway was preceded in death by his wife, Hettie F. Galloway and a daughter, Jeannine Galloway. Mr. Galloway was a lifelong resident of Columbus, he served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a Mason and a member of the Columbus Masonic Lodge where he served as Past Master.
Survivors include his son, Harry Galloway, three grandchildren, nine great- grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
