Harry was born on February 11, 1948. His parents were James Paul Sellers and Hawtence Sellers, who preceded him in death along with his brothers, Larry and LeDon Sellers.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Cathy Sellers. They were happily married for 54 magnificent years. Harry and Cathy have two daughters, Angela C. Sellers (Rene Guermonprez), and Amy C. Potter, of whom he was immensely proud. Harry and Cathy were blessed with four grandchildren: Timothy Potter, Meredith Potter, Drew Guermonprez-Sellers, and Chase Guermonprez-Sellers.
Harry graduated from Baker High School in 1966. He earned an Associate’s Degree in Finance and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Columbus College. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1970-1972. Harry worked for over 20 years as a supervisor at Swift Denim Textile Mill and ultimately retired upon the closing of its Columbus site. During his retirement, he worked as the bookkeeper for St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
Harry was a steadfast Catholic who honorably served his church, his community, and his family. He was a long-term member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Harry is described by many as a “good man” who worked hard during his life to provide for his family. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved fishing and hunting. Harry was most of all a loving husband, father, and grandfather whose strength of character can’t be replaced and will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.
