Heather Diane Hughes, 46 of Columbus, Ga passed away after a short illness. She was born December 21, 1976, her parents Roger D. Hughes and Sylvia Hughes Meyers, in Columbus, Georgia. Heather graduated from Shaw High School. She was employed by Anthem/BC/BS for several years.
Heather was a great customer service representative and took good care of her customers. She received several accolades from them. Heather was a great daughter and mom, she showed Layla McGhee, lots of love. She shared with people who had a need, wither it was donating food, clothes or other things they might need. You could always tell by her facial expressions her true feelings, and with those beautiful brown eyes.
Heather was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Jewel Hughes.
She is survived by, her daughter, Layla Brinley Hughes McGhee, maternal grandmother, Doris East, her mother Sylvia Pittman Meyers, and stepfather Robert Meyers, her father Roger Hughes, and stepmother, Charlene Hughes, sisters, Randalle Hughes and Chelsea Hughes, nephew Noah Hughes, niece, Emma Hughes, uncles, aunts, cousins, other family members and many friends.
Memorial Visitation for Heather will be held on May 20, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary 4071 Macon Road Columbus, Georgia.
