It was my pleasure to be Miss Helen’s nurse for the past three or so years. She was one of the sweetest ladies I’ve ever met and I loved her like family. Sweet sleep. ❤️

Kitty, this is your long ago across the street neighbor, Becky Calvert in Jacksonville. I’ve lived in Columbus for many years and saw your mom’s obituary in the paper. I’m sorry sorry for your loss but it appears she led a long meaningful life. I have fond memories of both you and Robbie.

I took care of Miss Helen for nearly 3 years and I loved her with my heart and soul. We watched four church services every Sunday morning together and she was such a blessing to me. She told me one morning that it was like she became my adopted grandmother and she was so right. I will miss her so much, but I’m so glad I had the time I had with her.

Helen was a good and long-time friend. We shared books and became "critics" of certain authors. She was one of the most intelligent people I have ever known. She edited books for her brother who was a prolific writer, and also edited two books written by her friend Sandi. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

Helen was a kind generous lady. She loved her church and was faithful until she could no longer go, then watched it on tv every Sunday. She was an avid reader and liked to share stories of her travels with her husband in the military. We will miss her.
