Helen Walter Brown passed away on February 18, 2020 at the age of 90. She was born March 4, 1929 in Tennille, Alabama. She retired after many years in Civil Service from Martin Army Hospital at Ft. Benning.
She was a past president and lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary and was a longtime resident of Columbus, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Brown; mother, Ruby Munn; father Charles Munn; brothers, Charles V. (Sonny) Munn and Billy Munn; and sister, Lucy Compton. She is survived by her son, Herbert F. (Butch) Brown; daughters, Dianne Miller and Donna McKee; sisters Linda Hurston and Carol Moffett; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on March 1 at the Bethel Assembly of God in Ariton, Alabama. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in her name be made to Hospice of Columbus.
