Helen Voncille Seay Reeves

Helen Seay Reeves, 82, with her family by her side, went home to be with her Lord and loved ones on January 27, 2014. A celebration of her life is scheduled at Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby Columbus on Thursday, January 30, 2014, 3 p.m. with her sons, Reverend Mike Reeves and Reverend Hank Reeves officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 1-3pm.

Mrs. Reeves, daughter of the late James Lee Seay and Anniebell Bridges Seay, was born December 10, 1931 in Slocomb, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, George A. Reeves and her grandson, Christopher Michael Reeves. Mrs. Reeves is survived by two sons, Reverend Mike Reeves and his wife Sandra and Reverend Hank Reeves and his wife RickiAnne, both of Columbus; her sister, Ellen Jones of Pine Mountain Valley, Georgia; three granddaughters, Michelle Corbitt and her husband Scott of Seale, Alabama, Denise Probst and her husband Justin of Atlanta, Georgia, and Samantha Allen and her husband Zack of Columbus; four great-grand children, Morgan, Ryan, Mia, and Marshall.
