Jack Lynch Hughes

Jack was born on the 14th of May 1994 in Montgomery, AL to Scott Wayne and Lori Joan Lynch Hughes. He attended St. Anne School and St. Anne-Pacelli High School where he was a member of the National Honor Society, the Student Council, and played both baseball and football. Jack had completed one year of college at CVCC and was employed by Powell Forestry in Buena Vista, GA. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved following Auburn Tiger football and spending time with family and friends.

Jack is survived by his parents, Scott and Lori Hughes and his two brothers, Adam and Eric Hughes all of Columbus, GA. He is also survived by his grandparents, Richard and Joan Lynch of Montgomery, AL, and Roberta Hughes of Montgomery, AL, three aunts, Doreen Lynch Waugaman and her husband, Rick of Atlanta, GA, Kelly Lynch Nutt and her husband, Morris of Memphis, TN, Wendy Hughes of Montgomery, AL, five cousins, Drew Waugaman, Charles Waugaman, Kevin Nutt, Kathleen Nutt and Chance Hughes.

Jack was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Wayne Hughes.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3 o’clock in the afternoon on the 30th of April at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2000 Kay Circle in Columbus with Father Jeremiah McCarthy, Father Jacob Almeter and Father Gerard Schreck officiating. A committal service will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. A Rosary will be said at 6 o’clock this evening at St. Anne Catholic Church. Friends are invited to visit with the family following the rosary in the visitation hall.
