Jack Perry Wallace born February 21, 1953, in Phenix City, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026, at Columbus Hospice in Columbus, Georgia. Visitation will be held at Striffler Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907 on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The funeral service will follow at 11:00. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery.
Jack graduated from Jordan High School in 1972. After high school he went to work for Arrow Exterminating and Knox Pest Control. After retiring from Knox Pest Control, he went to work at Striffler Hamby on Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia. He loved his job there because he was able to work with families and it was a ministry for him. Jack also Pastored at a number of Churches throughout the ministry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Wallace and Lucille Wallace, a sister, Janelle Timblin, and a brother, Sherman Wallace.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry F. Wallace to whom he was married to for 47 years, his sister, Linda Kerween (Bill), his brother-in-law, Ed, and several nieces and nephews.
Jack Wallace never met a stranger. He loved teaching and preaching the word of the Lord. He had a unique gift of making people laugh and smile. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. Special thanks to his friends who came to visit and to the nurses at Columbus Hospice for taking such good care of Jack.
