

Survivors include his father, Joe Nichols of Menifee, California, mother, Ann Lanier and sister, Johanna, both of Slocombe, Alabama. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Virginia Nichols of Panama City, Florida, and maternal grandparents Durden and Annette Lanier of Portal, Georgia.
Jacob was currently employed by U.S. Tool Group. He enjoyed building wooden constructions, the Georgia Bulldogs, canine training, and generally "hanging out" with friends. His signature grin, followed by infectious laughter, was magnetic to his surroundings.

A celebration of life will take place on Friday, November 7, 2025 at 12:00 PM EST at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd., Columbus, Georgia, 31907 in the Wildwood Room for friends and family to pay their respects and share stories for Jacob.
