A Graveside funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Parkhill Cemetery. His family will receive friends Friday evening June 12th from 5:00 until 7:00 at Striffler-Hamby, Columbus, Georgia.
James B. Head Jr was born on July 12, 1927 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Fannie Mae Kite Head and James B. Head Sr. He was married to the late Ellen Joyce Roberson Head. He retired from Lummus Industries after 45 plus years of service.
Survivors include his son, David Head and his daughter-in-law Joan of Ellerslie, Georgia; granddaughters, Jennifer Black and Rebekah (Tim) Maulsby; grandsons: Jeremy Black, Richard Black, Joshua Head, and six great-grandchildren.
