James “Billy” Wise, 83, of Columbus, GA., died Thursday, December 10, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital. A Graveside Service will be held 2:00PM, Monday, December 14, 2015 at Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Jerry Speer officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 4:00-6:00pm at Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Road Columbus, GA. 31907.
Mr. Wise, son of the late Johnny R. Wise and Robbie C. Trammell Hardee, was born on November 29, 1932 in Columbus, Georgia.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ouida J. Wise; son, Gary Lamar Wise; daughter-in-law, Mary Beth Wise; grandson, Brian James Wise; sister, Annette Barfield; and brother, Harold Hardee.
Mr. Wise is survived by his son, Norman Wise (Laura) of Fortson, GA; sister, Karen McCoy of Lawrenceville, GA; one granddaughter, Carolann Wise; four grandsons, Neil A. Wise, Jasen Wise, Chris Wise (Courtney), and Gary Wise (Beth); two great-granddaughters, Mackenzie Wise and Cameron Wise; several nieces and nephews and numerous relatives and friends.
