Columbus, GA- James Huston "Buck" Craig, 81, of Columbus, GA. died Sunday, April 27, 2014 at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2014 in the Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Ga. with Dr. P. Shane Green officiating. Interment to follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Buck was born in Columbus, GA. on September 16, 1932 to the late Forrest C. Craig and Bessie Tucker Craig. He was a lifelong resident of Columbus and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Buck retired from the Seaboard Coastline after 35 years of service where he served as a Yard Conductor. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict.
His three children, James David Craig, Theresa Ann Thomas and Kenneth Clayton Craig and his brother, Clayton Craig, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Donna J. Craig of Columbus, stepchildren, Angela B. Arnold of Dayton, OH, and Kenneth B. Arnold and wife Christy of Douglasville, GA, grandchildren, Michael Thomas, Autumn Morales, Amber Head and husband Adam, and Nicholas Jones, great grandchildren, Lanie Ransom, and Alice Head, numerous nieces and nephews.
