James was born to J. E. Miller and Victoria Miller on October 11, 1929. After finishing the 9th grade, he then enlisted into the United States Army where he fought in the Korean War. After his military career, James became a salesman and a business owner. James had a passion for old cars and the Army. He was a member of the Model T Club in Phenix City, AL. and was also a Mason.
Survivors include his children; Vicki (Arthur) Blackmankirsch, Randy Miller, Ken (Lisa) Miller, Penny (John) Moore, Monica (Jody) McAllister, and Troy Miller, grandchildren; Amber (Joel) Baker, Samantha Miller, Brent (Holley) Miller, Daniel (Madeline) Miller, Nigel (Francy) Miller, Liz (Chris) Prather, Zachary Moore, Joshua Moore, Cameron Moore, Phillip (Holly) McAllister, Andrew (Morgan) McAllister, Alanna McAllister, Ross (Kayla) McAllister, Jessica and Joseph Keichenmeister, Trent McAllister, Matthew (Danielle) Miller, Emily Miller, and Blake Miller, and 17 great grandchildren.
Other than his parents, J. E. Miller and Victoria Miller, James is preceded in death by his first wife; Carolyn Miller, his second wife; Linda Miller, a sister; Sarah Veloria-Jean Miller, and a grandson; Jack McAllister.
A memorial service will be held at Auburn Heights in Phenix City, AL. at the dwelling on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11 am.
