Jane Park

Jane Gilbert Park, of Columbus, GA, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021. The family will receive guests from 9:00AM until 10:00AM with the funeral starting at 10:00AM Saturday, June 26, 2021 in the chapel at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary on Macon Road, with Reverend John Burnett officiating. Burial will follow at Parkhill Cemetery.

Jane was born on April 10, 1929, in Ideal, Georgia. She was the daughter of George Clark and Monnette Chalkey Gilbert. Jane retired from Muscogee County School District, having taught Kindergarten for 31 years at Edgewood Elementary School. She was a member of Hilton Terrace Baptist Church. Jane is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Theo A. Park and her brother, Joe M. Gilbert.

Survivors include her two sons, Theo and his wife Mary Ann Park of Marietta, GA, Tim and his wife Lynn Park of Mansfield, GA; her sister, June Landreth; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Steve), Jason (Caroline), Jessica, Seth (Rachel) and Claire (YiFei); seven great grandchildren, Elle, Matthew and Clara Lasota, Wyatt, Abel, Jasper and Isla Park.
