

Jeanette was born on March 7, 1940 to Imogene and Alvie W. Ford at St. Francis Hospital of Columbus, Georgia.
Jeanette was the widow of Violas Mitchell of Columbus, Georgia. Jeanette retired from Middle Georgia College, Cochran, Georgia in 2000 after 15 years of service as Executive Secretary of the Transportation Department and also a member of Limestone Baptist Church of Cochran, Georgia before moving back to Columbus, Georgia.
Jeanette had a passion for animals, and loved her pets dearly that she had throughout her lifetime, Sassy, Cooper, and Jenny just to name a few.
Jeanette was a wonderful mother figure and human being. She embodied the best of qualities: Unconditional Love, Strength of Spirit, and an unending generosity that could be seen in her care for her family and friends. She touched so many lives in her lifetime. The world is a little less brighter without her in it. She will be deeply missed.
Jeanette was predeceased by her mother and father, Imogene and Alvie W. Ford; brother, Kenneth Ford of Columbus, GA; sister, Barbara Simmons of Columbus, GA. She leaves her loving memory to be cherished by her family including: brothers: Phil and Randy Ford of Columbus, GA; sisters: Sharon Dupriest of Columbus, GA, Donna Cody of Cochran, Ga; and sons, Carl Elliott of Bainbridge, GA and Mitchell Elliott of Perry, GA.
Jeanette will be dearly missed by all those that had the blessing of knowing her.
