Jeffrey Reginald Alford, 78, of Midland, Georgia passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Bristol, England on June 30, 1946 to the late Mrs. and Mr. Charles Reginald Alford. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Oxford University and went on to Rolls Royce School in Manchester, England to obtain a degree in Aero-Engineering. Jeffrey would later move to the United States of America to Greenwood, Indiana to begin his career with Paxair Aerospace Engineering. While in Indiana Jeffrey met and married the love of his life, Maryland Alford. Together, Jeffrey and Maryland raised their son, Christopher with the values of hard work, compassion, and love for family.
Jeffrey was a rebel in his own right, he loved to travel and search for the road less traveled. He was always putting others before himself. He was passionate about giving to the Wounded Warriors Foundation and to the Harris County Humane Society. Jeffrey was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who taught his family to always fight for your dreams, keep true to your word and never give up on what you believe in and to always be the best version of yourself. Jeffrey was a loving man who will be greatly missed by all who knew and especially loved him.
He leaves his memory to be cherished by his son, Christopher Alford; daughter-in-law, Yorleny Alford; his beloved grandchildren: Jennyfer Alford, Jeffrey Alford, and Mia Alford. Also to cherish his loving memory are numerous other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maryland and his parents.
A service will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 2:00 PM to honor his loving memory in our Fisher Chapel at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907. A service will be held in Naples, Florida on Monday, March 17, 2025.
