Jerelyn was the daughter of A. F. and Mary Humber and was born on September 21, 1945 in Lumpkin, Georgia. She lived there until she moved to Columbus at the age of 3. In 1963, she graduated from Columbus High School and worked at St. Elmo Pharmacy and then went on to work at Edgewood Baptist Church for the next 42 years until retirement. Jerelyn was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church since she was the age of 3 and later became very involved with the school, (Christian Heritage Academy) and the youth program.
She is predeceased by her parents; A. F. and Mary Humber. She is survived by her daughter; Jodee Saville-Richards (Mike), sons; Robert A. Saville, and Andrew F. Saville (Holly), her grandchildren; Kimberlee Cooper (Adam), Elisa Winters (Ashley), Austin Saville (Ashleigh), Drew Saville, Tate Saville, and Carter Saville, and nine great grandchildren; Jordan, Rachelle, Peyton, Blake, Paisley, McKenzee, Makayla, Teagan, and Ansley Grace.
She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her and will be dearly missed. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Striffler Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907. Family will meet with friends one hour prior at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907.
