He taught three different Sunday School classes at St. Luke and approached life with the heart of a teacher. Jerry served as a prison minister and was an avid supporter of the Meals on Wheels ministry.
Jerry was a gifted coach and mentor. He used these talents at Synovus and was a spiritual leader for his family and friends, mentoring them with joy and love. He was also a published author, having written a book on sales management.
Jerry will always be remembered for his ready smile and quick sense of humor. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was an accomplished percussionist. He loved playing golf but also enjoyed running, tennis and watching football. Clogging was a favorite hobby as was traveling and working crossword and jigsaw puzzles.
